The Shroud of Turin: Proof of Authenticity Beyond Reasonable Doubt (1 of 2)

From the video description:

"The result of the radiocarbon dating of the Turin Shroud in 1988 received worldwide attention and is widely seen as conclusive proof that the cloth was a forgery dating from medieval times. There have however been many other lines of scientific research over the years that have provided compelling evidence that the cloth is much older than the 14th century date given by the radiocarbon test. Furthermore, much of this evidence directly connects the cloth to the events commemorated during Easter. This video outlines a number of these lines of evidence and explains why the samples taken from the Turin Shroud for radiocarbon dating delivered an incorrect result. Video extracts from 'A Silent Witness' are by kind permission of David Rolfe, www.shroudenigma.com"

I absolutely am fascinated by the Shroud of Turin! As the singularly most studies object in human history according to www.shroud.com, the evidence suggesting its authenticity is rather astounding. In fact, documentary filmmaker David Rolfe is so sure that it's authentic that he's put forth a $1 million proposition to the British Museum to show how the image was done if it was indeed a forgery (link about it here). Part of Mr. Rolfe's work can be seen in this next video, which will be a two-part post about the evidence for the authenticity of the Shroud. Check it out here:
